Do I need to be home during installation?
Yes, we recommend that an adult be present during the installation. Our team will need access to both interior and exterior areas of your home, and you'll want to be available for the final walkthrough and demonstration of your new windows. If you have scheduling constraints, let us know—we'll work with you to find a solution.
Can you replace windows in winter?
Absolutely! We install windows year-round throughout the Quad Cities. Our process is designed to minimize the time each window opening is exposed to the elements. We work on one window at a time, ensuring your home is never left open to the weather. In extremely cold conditions, we take additional precautions to maintain your comfort.
What happens to my old windows?
We handle everything. Your old windows, frames, and all installation debris are removed from your property and disposed of properly. When we leave, you won't have anything to clean up or haul away. Your home will be as clean as (or cleaner than) when we arrived.
How should I prepare for installation day?
We'll provide a detailed preparation checklist before your installation date. Generally, you should:
• Clear a 3-foot area around each window, inside and outside
• Remove window treatments (blinds, curtains, valances)
• Take down any fragile items or wall decorations near windows
• Ensure clear access for our crew to reach each window
• Make arrangements for pets to be secured away from work areas
Will installation damage my walls or trim?
Our installers are trained to work carefully and protect your home. In most cases, we can replace windows without disturbing your interior walls or trim. If any touch-up is needed, we'll address it before we leave. We treat your home with the same care we'd want in our own homes.
What warranty coverage do I receive?
Your Infinity® by Marvin® windows include a Limited Lifetime Warranty that covers glass, frame components, and hardware. Our installation workmanship is also warranted. We'll provide complete warranty documentation after your installation and handle all registration paperwork for you.
How do I clean and maintain my new windows?
Infinity® windows are designed for minimal maintenance. The proprietary acrylic finish resists fading, chalking, and staining—simply wipe with a damp cloth as needed. Double-hung and sliding windows feature tilt-in sashes that allow you to clean both sides of the glass from inside your home. We'll demonstrate all features during your final walkthrough.
